I was born in a place not too far from where I am now at what is increasingly becoming a long, long time ago.  Being no use whatsoever in gainful employment I gravitated towards art and music, those being the only fields that would have me, and have been employed by myself ever since.

I followed the usual paths through art college (technical illustration at West Glamorgan Institute) and on leaving had several jobs before working as a musician in various bands and studios - I travelled extensively and wrote many songs - some good, some best forgotten - and it is a love that has stayed with me to the extent that I still play, write and drive people mad, with varying success, to this day.  Details of these efforts will eventually appear on the links page.

As far as the artwork is concerned, I work with many different media from traditional inks, acrylics, watercolours etc., to digital (mainly Photoshop and Illustrator).

I try to use approaches that will suit whatever I am illustrating and some will be dictated by print or reproduction requirements.  I also lecture in computer illustration techniques at Neath College, here in South Wales (and no, it doesn't always rain here).  I'd like to say that I teach for the sheer fulfilment and gratification of educating willing minds - but really it's for the money!
